I may be addicted to West Elm
I can't stop myself from visiting West Elm's website almost daily. It's like my morning cup of coffee, but in the form of a deliciously organic and reasonably priced home furnishing store. For months I have been drooling over their bedding, its so natural and soothing looking.

Creative Carafes
Summer is almost here! And I could not be more excited about it. After a rather stressful year, I'm ready to take a moment, breathe and enjoy some relaxing days in the sun. A good book, a beach and some vino, but what to put it in!? Well, although I have been extremely busy with what seemed like a week of birthday celebrating, I did however get to sneak into Restoration Hardware while my boyfriend napped in the car before our dinner date...
And quickly found my new D.I.Y project. I loved the look of this simple Carafe, but didn't love the $50 price tag. (Isn't unemployment fun?) So with a less expense carafe and some glass etching supplies I hope I can make some fun ones for summer!
*West Elm recycled glassware- carafe $12.
*Crate and Barrel- Carafe $6.95. . . Can't beat an under $10-er

Page turner
Traditional Homes April 2009 - 20+ young designers had me drooling cover to cover.(And super jealous wishing I was the one being featured, but I digress) I have a slight compulsive habit of ripping out any and every image I like...which is almost always the whole magazine. I'm also a magazine hoarder. I hate throwing away magazines, I love going back and referencing things in past issues, but that why i created a huge binder with different sections to sort everything into a million categories.
These were my favorites from the list:

DIM: Did It Myself! Headboard
1. Wrapped and Stapled the foam to the plywood.
3. Cover the batting with the desired fabric folding under the corners to create a finished look.
I spent about $50 on supplies and after a little trial and error about 45 minutes total constructing my own custom headboard. I'm very pleased with the results, it looks great in person and I have a huge sense of accomplishment. :D

Today is the day, I've been talking about this for weeks. I am finally making my own headboard. After reading Pink Wallpaper's post on how she made her's, (Her's is gorgeous by the way!) I took a little trip to Michael's and Home Depot to get my supplies.
What I bought:
Queen Size Batting - Michael's $13.07
Staple Gun and Staples- Home Depot $20
1/4" plywood 60"x36"- Home Depot $13.48
Egg Crate Foam - Compliments of the Boyfriend $FREE
Fabric 3yds. - yet to buy
TOTAL: $46 before fabric
It's a beautiful day so I can't wait to go out side and complete the project. As soon as my camera charges so I can document the process. I'll post some in progress pics and a finished product later tonight.

Happy Early Birthday to Me!
My birthday is next Saturday and I can't wait. Although I would love a huge, spring birthday cake, I just want my friends around me and enjoy the day. Hopefully it will be a warm, beautiful day.
My boyfriend keeps asking me what I would love for my birthday present. These are the from the new Tiffany's Collection. I am absolutely obsessed with them. They are so sweet and range in price from $100-$10000. I am considering treating myself with one! (Although who wouldn't love receiving one as a gift?) They would look great solo or layered. *My new Obsession.
