I finally succumbed, hello iphone

I finally joined the masses and traded in my trusted, although thoroughly beaten Blackberry for a shiny, new iphone. I used to instantly snap up every new phone that was revealed, but I wanted to wait until they had been out for a while and prices dropped.

So here's to a fun, iphone tapping weekend.

Another Lovely Day

I had another fab day with the mom. Hit the Outlet Shops; necklace from Saks, She scored some St.John Sport Sweats for only $30 instead of $400! And Then we dined at my favorite place in Santa Rosa; Guy Fieri's Tex Wasabi's.

I get the Earthy Crunchy Rolls and a Bowl of Miso.
The place is a fun, hip dining experience with the most outrageous menu items. Think a funky, rock and roll blended with the traditional Japanese feel. So original.

Then it was on to the mall to use up some coupons for Macys. Since I'm headed to Aussie I'm not allowed to buy any more jeans or heavy items, thus I scored the clearance shoe racks for cute, comfy flats. I scored big.

Antique Vintage

Me and mom went to the flea market to find some treasures for her jewelry line and for me just to have. I found a really sweet 24k gold plated seahorse! For $3 it was mine, I just need to add a long chain.

We also stopped by the antique store and I fell deeply in love with a gorgeous cameo ring from the 1920.It looked gorgeous on...but I didn't fall in love with the $325 price tag.

Hope everyone is doing well and having a lovely Sunday. I'm kind of on vacation at home here so I almost can't remember what day it is. Ha.

THANK YOU UNITED FREQUENT FLYER MILES! You have come to my rescue and have given me the ability to visit my parents before I head down under sans the $400 price ticket. All those flights have finally paid off! I booked my flight home for just $10. $10. I have to say it one more time, $10.

I'm heading home to the beautiful wine country so I can spend a few days with my 'rents before heading back to the south then on to Australia.

Uninspired

I've been rather uninspired lately. Sorry for the infrequent postings, but as soon as I have some spark of inspiration I'll be back in full stride. I'm also busy working and preparing for our 6 month stint is Australia. For now I'll leave you with this gorgeous image.

Its Final!

Ok, finally. The Bf got offered a spot on an Australian Baseball Team! In just one month we will be packing up and going down under! For 6 months. It's such an exciting/hectic time for both of us, I may not be able to blog as much as normal, so I apologize in advance for my absence. I fully intend on creating a blog for both of us to record our adventures.

I fully intend on doing EVERYTHING I can while I'm there.
If anyone has visited or heard about anything fun/exciting to do (we'll be in Newport, close to Melbourne) Please Please leave a comment and let me know! I'd appreciate any advice!

It's been a really long, tiring weekend for me. It was tax-free weekend, so I worked from 1-10:30pm on both Friday and Saturday. Today could not come soon enough.

And we're meeting up with the Bf's parents to eat and go see The Ugly Truth tonight. Should be a good evening.
Right now my life is kind of like this....

Place for my Patent Pumps

As I attempt to make our house more livable for the time being (read: not have all possessions in boxes and bags) I'm trying to think of a good idea for storing all of our shoes. As former athletes we have more sneakers than you could ever imagine. Every season we get about 7 new pairs, multiple by that by his 5 seasons and my 2... I horrible at math, but but it's like our sneakers get busy and reproduce every time we leave the house.
And of course I have my sexy collection of various heels, pumps and wedges and sandals and slip ons and flats etc. etc.
I'm not complaining about how many shoes we have, but where they are currently located...around the entire perimeter of our bedroom. Seriously, all in a line, hugging the baseboard. Then some of my heels are still in a bag, some are stacked on top of each other (don't worry my studded Michael Kors pumps are still safe in their box)

IDEAS PEOPLE, I NEED IDEAS!


This was a good idea in theory if we lived in space, but no. How awkward-looking is that contraption?!


This may work, but our closet is already more full than it should be.

Now this is what I need, but I don't think it would hold the Bf's big boots and bigger sneakers?

and fresh, moist soil,

Not to sound pretentious, but I am a bright, young and intelligent individual. Unfortunately, I have the incapability to keep my poor basil plants alive. It's so sad, I vow to someday have a beautiful, thriving herb garden at some point...I just don't think it's while I'm in college. :( I guess I just have to keep replacing the poor guys.

I got an Instyle, Teen Vogue, Martha Stewart Living, Allure, and World's Best 2008 for developers, agents, design and interiors.

I can't WAIT to sit, relax and read them all! I worked all weekend so I'm excited to to relax and read magazines!
